JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Charlotte's Terrell Adams and Jayon Woodard competed well for the 49ers on Friday during the second day of action from the NCAA East Preliminaries, but just missed the qualification marks to advance to the National Championships in Austin, Texas.
Terrell Adams took on the men's discus and threw a season-best distance of 55.72m (182' 10") to finish 15th overall in the event and will not advance to the National Finals in Austin.
Jayon Woodard competed in the quarterfinals for the men's 400m on Friday and ran a 46.
