A Season to Remember: 2018-19 Women’s Tennis

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A mid-summer coaching change brought alum Anthony Davison back to the Charlotte campus last year, as he assumed control of the 49ers women's tennis program leading into the 2018-19 season. He moved quickly to hire Brooke Buckner (then Bolender) as his assistant and the two went to work right away, crafting and molding the program for instant, sustained and future successes.

With the full roster returning for their first season, along with two newcomers, it gave the new coaching staff a confidence of many great things ahead. The new tactics and strategies were implemented during the fall tournament campaign as both coaches and players alike were still learning more about one another.
