KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The ninth-ranked Charlotte 49ers men's soccer program, who are in their eighth season under coach Kevin Langan, were named as a 2018-19 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award recipient. The 49ers were one of 345 men's soccer programs across all three NCAA Divisions to be honored.
In order to be considered for the award, a squad had to post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2017-18 academic year. The Niners had a cumulative 3.09 GPA last academic year to be on the list.
The 49ers are currently undefeated at 7-0-2 which marks the second time in school history that the 49ers are undefeated after nine games.
