Charlotte, N.C. - Almost 60 Charlotte student-athletes were recognized with Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medals, the sixth-most in C-USA, after it was announced by the conference office on Friday.
The 59 Niners who were named honorees of the Commissioner's Academic Medal have maintained a cumulative grade point average of a 3.75 or higher. Women's soccer led all other sports with 12 recipients, followed by women's track and field (10) and men's track and field (8). Seventeen of Charlotte's 18 varsity sports were represented in earning Academic Medals.
Last week, the four student-athletes who took home Normies Awards recognizing their academic achievement - Luke Patterson (Men's Track and Field), Alison Green (Softball), Cecilie Finne-Ipsen (Women's Golf) and Riley Felts (Women's Track and Field) - all received Academic Medal honors.
