Davidson, N.C. – Behind five singles wins, the Charlotte 49ers (10-5) defeated Davidson (10-8), 5-2, on the road for their fourth straight win.
“Rivalries always make for exciting matches,” Charlotte coach Jesse Tarr said. “Davidson has a talented team and they really pushed us. After losing a tough doubles point, I couldn’t be prouder of the fight our guys showed.”
Davidson won two of the three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. At number two doubles, Charlotte’s Sam Brazil and Sam Rice lost to Davidson’s Alex Howard and Evan Watkins, 6-1.
