If you watch safety Ben DeLuca's fluid movement on the field, it looks almost instinctive.
Since arriving on campus for the 49ers, the junior defensive back has been a fixture in the defensive backfield. It makes sense that the game seems natural to DeLuca. He's been playing since he was five.
"My dad was the biggest reason I started playing football," DeLuca said. "He played. He was kind of my biggest motivation, my hero. He coached me growing up, so it was always a big factor. It was always something I wanted to do, and he guided me along.
