CHARLOTTE, N.C. - After completing the triple crown at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, the Charlotte 49ers track and field team will send 21 student-athletes to regionals in Jacksonville, Fla., hosted by the University of North Florida on Wednesday through Saturday, May 26-29.
The men's team has 17 entries, which ranks 14th out of 133 teams in the East Region and 27th in the nation, while the women's team has seven entries, which is 39th out of 130 teams in the East Region and 80th in the country. Overall, the 49ers total 24 entries at regionals, which is 28th in the East Region out of 163 teams and 53rd nationally.
