Charlotte 49ers Director of Athletics Mike Hill has announced the hiring of former UAB head coach Ryan Ashburn as the 49ers' new women's golf head coach.
Ashburn has been head coach at UAB for three seasons and she also enjoyed a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Baylor following her start as an assistant at Campbell.
"We're thrilled to welcome Ryan Ashburn to Charlotte," said Hill. "She has quickly built an impressive career as the head coach at UAB and as an assistant at Baylor -- one of the nation's elite women's golf programs -- as well as experience coaching in the state of North Carolina at Campbell.
