WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers baseball team limited one of the best offensive teams in the country to a season low one run and seven hits at home Tuesday night, knocking off 17th-ranked Wake Forest 6-1. The victory ties a school-record for the Niners with their third win against top-25 teams, moving their win streak to four-straight and five of their last six, while snapping the Demon Deacons five-game streak.
"Tonight was a big time effort," exclaimed Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "There's not too many teams in the country that can come in here and do what we did tonight.
