CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte softball returns home for a makeup game with in-state rival Duke Tuesday at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m.
Originally, Charlotte (8-12, 2-1 C-USA) and Duke (12-8, 0-3 ACC) were scheduled to play a doubleheader last Tuesday, but was postponed due to rain.
The 49ers enter the contest with a two game winning streak after opening Conference USA on the road at North Texas. Charlotte registered a comeback win in game two of Saturday's doubleheader, before Haley Wiseman tossed a complete game shutout Sunday.
Meanwhile, North Carolina swept the Blue Devils this past weekend in the first ever meeting between the two teams on the diamond.
