CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A rarity in the college volleyball world will feature the Charlotte 49ers as they travel for the Pirate Invitational this Thursday and Friday. Due to a home football game on Saturday, East Carolina bumped the invitational up a day to avoid logistical conflicts on Saturday.
Charlotte (5-4) took a 3-1 loss at South Carolina on Tuesday night having to bounce back in a 25-23 third set to force the fourth. Reeana Richardson led the 49ers with nine kills while Jannelle Curtiss and Tyra Galloway had a half-dozen apiece.
