PHOENIX, ARIZ. – Spenser Gray collected a 2-for-3 day at the plate with a double, but the Charlotte 49ers fell to San Diego State 9-1 on Friday, February 8, in their third game of the GCU Kickoff Tournament.
Hitting from the second spot in the lineup, junior Spenser Gray was 2-for-3 with a double for Charlotte (1-2). The 49ers' first five batters were a collective 6-for-14 in the game, with a double, RBI from Meredith Harris and a run scored by Kiersten Berrier.
Charlotte's lone run was scored in the bottom of the third inning when Harris singled to left to bring home Berrier.
