The women’s soccer team couldn’t put the ball in the net and fell 3-0 against a nationally-ranked 22 South Carolina.
The Gamecocks (5-0-1) wasted no time, putting one on the board with ten minutes gone in the game. Then the 49ers (3-3-0) were trying to clear the ball at 25:40 when it bounced off of a Charlotte player into their own goal, allowing South Carolina to have the 2-0 advantage. The final goal of the game came from a close range shot by the Gamecocks at the 73 minute mark.
The 49ers were aggressive collecting six fouls on the night, but only put four shots on goal.
