CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Duquesne led by as many as 15 points in the third quarter, but Charlotte's women's basketball put together a huge comeback win kicking off the 2017-18 season with a 75-72 on Friday night inside Halton Arena. The 49ers are now 27-15 all-time in season-opening games and have won seven-straight openers, including five-straight on their home floor.

Four Niners, including three starters, registered double-digit scoring performances, led by redshirt senior Nyilah Jamison-Myers with 18 points off the bench on 6-of-13 shooting to go along with five rebounds.
Junior guard Laia Raventos dazzled with 16 points for her 26th career double-digit scoring game, five assists and two steals.
