Charlotte, N.C. – Behind three double-figure scorers, some timely free throw shooting and a solid defensive performance, the Charlotte 49er (2-1) defeated ACC foe Wake Forest (2-2), 67-65, in an overtime thriller in Halton Arena.
Jahmir Young recorded his first career 20-point scoring game with 24 points. He connected on his first eight field goals and finished the game going four-for-five from beyond the three-point line. Jordan Shepherd nearly recorded a double-double with sixteen points and nine rebounds. Malik Martin scored twelve points and grabbed six rebounds. Amidou Bamba scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds.
