Charlotte, N.C. – Behind three singles and two doubles wins, the Charlotte 49ers (9-5) won their third straight match with a 4-0 victory over Gardner-Webb (9-11) at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
“I am really proud of our team,” Charlotte coach Jesse Tarr said. “We defeated a talented and tough Gardner-Webb team. We always talk about playing our game with our personalities and that’s exactly what we did today.”
Charlotte won two of the three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. At number two doubles, Charlotte’s Sam Brazil and Sam Rice won their seventh match of the season with a 6-4 win over Gardner-Webb’s Paul Hogan and Jonathan Walker.
