CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers men's and women's cross country teams begin their third season under coach , who joined the program in 2014.
In his first season as the program's seventh head coach, Gibby sent 15 runners to the NCAA Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky. He then coached 14 runners, seven on the men's side and seven on the women's side, at the 2015 NCAA Southeast Regional in Charlottesville, Va.
On the men's squad, Gibby will have an abundance of youth at his disposal with 10 true freshman joining the program. The most experienced runners on the team are redshirt sophomores , and , furthur emphasizing how young this team truly is.
