GREENVILLE, N.C. – Maryland scored their first run in the bottom of the eighth then added another in walk-off fashion in the ninth to claim a 2-1 victory which ended the 2021 season for the 20th-ranked Charlotte baseball team. A season full of records comes to an end with 40 wins that included a school-record tying 11-game win streak and a Conference USA regular season title.
"I don't know if I've ever been more proud to be affiliated with a baseball team than this one," stated Head Coach Robert Woodard. "I'm so thankful for this group of players, coaching staff, support staff and administration for everything that everyone has put in to get us to this point.
