CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte nearly pulled off more late inning magic with five runs in the bottom of the ninth, but ultimately fell 9-8 to Florida Atlantic in an elimination game at the C-USA Tournament on Thursday afternoon. The 16th-ranked Niners will now await word on NCAA Regional possibilities next weekend.
"Although the result was the same," began Head Coach Robert Woodard. "I thought today's game versus yesterdays was night and day different. I thought the brand of baseball we played today was #9ATC baseball. We're all disappointed. We're all mad about these past few days.
