CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the final time in 2021, the 16th-ranked Charlotte baseball team will take the field at Hayes Stadium hosting UNCW for a three-game series that begins on Thursday night. Hayes Stadium will be open to 100% capacity with tickets for all three games going quickly.

With Charlotte's dramatic 6-4 victory needing extra innings in game two of Saturday's doubleheader at Rice, the 49ers clinched the outright regular season championship in Conference USA, a day after a series-opening 9-6 win clinched the league's east division. The title is Charlotte's first-ever in C-USA and first since the A-10 days back in 2013.
