CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The 14th-ranked Charlotte 49ers hit the road once again to battle Conference USA foe Kentucky in search of their seventh win on the season and third in conference play.

The 49ers traveled south down I-77 to Rock Hill, S.C. where they took on the Winthrop Eagles and came away with a 2-0 victory in only their third away game of 2016. Just over seven minutes into the match, junior forward Harrison Steadman opened the scoring with a free header in the box off an assist from junior midfielder Zhuvonte Wilson.
