MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan wrestling team’s rugged trip through January continues on Friday night when the Chippewas travel to Michigan for a non-conference dual.
The Wolverines are 7-1 and have won four consecutive duals. They are ranked eighth in the USA Today/National Wrestling Coaches Association poll.
Michigan’s last two dual victories have come over No. 6 Ohio State, 21-11; and No. 13 Illinois, 25-14.
CMU, which is ranked 19th, is coming off a 26-9 Mid-American Conference loss to fourth-ranked and unbeaten Missouri at McGuirk Arena.
