Eight Chippewa wrestlers won their matches Sunday as Central Michigan defeated Northern Illinois 33-6.
CMU improved to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the Mid-American Conference.
The Chippewas got their wins from Brent Fleetwood, Corey Keener, Mason Smith, Colin Heffernan, CJ Brucki, Jordan Ellingwood, Austin Severn, and Newton Smerchek.
"I was happy with the way we wrestled the whole weekend." said head coach Tom Borrelli. "We are getting better technically and trying to be aggressive.
