Central Michigan women’s basketball was on the wrong side of an instant classic in Buffalo.
The Chippewas (20-4, 12-1) lost their first Mid-American Conference game of the season to Buffalo (20-4, 11-2 MAC) 85-82.
CMU was outrebounded by the Bulls 39-36 and shot only 26 percent from 3-point range.
“It was a really hard-fought game,” Guevara said. “There were some key moments where we lost our composure a little bit and they took advantage of it”
Buffalo got off to a hot shooting start, but Central Michigan stayed close and eventually tied the game at the end of the first quarter.
