MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Fans and supporters will get their first look at the Central Michigan volleyball team under new coach Mike Gawlik on Saturday, when the team plays its annual Maroon & Gold scrimmage at McGuirk Arena.
Gawlik, named the Chippewas’ coach in January, helped lead Michigan State to nine NCAA Tournament appearances and three Sweet Sixteen berths during his 11 years on the coaching staff.
The scrimmage is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
The Chippewas featured a relatively young roster in 2015, and finished 11-18 overall, 6-10 in the Mid-American Conference.
