MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Maggie Baumert has joined the Central Michigan volleyball program as a volunteer assistant coach.
Baumert, a native of Elkhorn, Neb., was a standout setter at Creighton, where she helped lead the Bluejays to BIG EAST regular-season and tournament championships in 2014 and 2015, and to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament last season.
“We’re extremely excited to welcome Maggie Baumert to our volleyball family,” first-year CMU coach Mike Gawlik said. “She has proven herself as a competitor as an elite setter for Creighton and will be able to work with our setters and offensive systems.
