TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Central Michigan track and field teams both finished third Saturday at the Indiana State Gibson Invitational.
Indiana State won both the men’s and women’s titles. The Sycamore men finished with 175 points. Runner-up Illinois had 132, while the Chippewas finished with 98 ½. Ten teams comprised the men’s meet.
The Indiana State women finished with 124 ½ points, followed by Missouri State (122) and the Chippewas (93). The women’s event comprised 13 teams.
“We had a good meet based on who we had there,” CMU director of track and field Mark Guthrie said.
