MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Another home game, another overtime thriller for the Central Michigan soccer team.
Lexi Pelafas found the back of the net in the second overtime to propel the Chippewas to a dramatic 2-1 victory over Ohio in a Mid-American Conference matchup at the CMU Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium.
“I think sometimes on the days when you don’t feel your best, you just have to keep grinding,” said CMU coach Peter McGahey, whose team played Kent State – one of two remaining unbeaten teams in the MAC – to a 1-1 draw on Friday.
