MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Lexi Pelafas of the Central Michigan soccer team was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Pelafas, a sophomore forward, scored four goals in leading the Chippewas to a pair of victories on the opening weekend of the season.
Pelafas leads the MAC and is tied with three players for first in goals scored nationally. Her 7.5 shots per game ties her for fifth among all players in NCAA Division I.
Pelafas scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Duquesne and scored twice in a 3-1 win over Robert Morris.
