BUFFALO, New York. — Eliza Van de Kerkhove scored with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation Sunday and the Central Michigan soccer team forged a 1-1 double-overtime tie with Buffalo in a Mid-American Conference game at the Bulls’ UB Stadium.
CMU moves to 13-2-3 overall with a 5-2-3 mark in the league. Buffalo is 6-7-5, 3-4-3. The Chippewas fell, 3-2, to Akron in overtime on Thursday.
“I thought we had a positive response from Thursday and the team showed a lot of character playing in a real tough environment today,” CMU coach Peter McGahey said.
