W. Soccer. Chippewa Soccer Picked To Win MAC Tournament

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan was among the favorites to win the Mid-American Conference Tournament Monday in a preseason poll of league coaches.

The Chippewas, Kent State and Ball State each received three votes as the league tourney champ. Buffalo received two votes and Miami (Ohio) picked up one.

The Chippewas were picked to finish third in the West Division, receiving one first-place vote. Ball State, the defending West champion, received 11 first-place votes to claim the top, followed by Western Michigan, the Chippewas, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Northern Illinois.

Western Michigan is the defending MAC Tournament champion.
