MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Katy Clements was named the Mid-American Conference Co-Specialist of the Week after scoring a career-best 9.925 on balance beam in helping the Chippewas to a league dual victory over Bowling Green.
Clements, a senior from Gainsville, Ga., edged teammates Karlee Teet and Caroline Fitzpatrick (9.900) to win the event. Clements posted a 9.700 score to finished tied with teammate Rachel Carr for seventh place on vault.
Clements shared the Specialist of the Week Award with Ball State sophomore Jordyn Penny.
