BRADENTON, Fla. – In match play, anything can happen, and often does.
Kristen Wolfe was 4-down through eight holes Monday, then caught fire to take a 2-up victory over Brenna Sherwood and lift the Central Michigan women’s golf team to a 3-2 victory over Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne in the Mid-American Conference Match Play Challenge at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.
The Chippewas dropped their opener, 5-0, to Florida Gulf Coast on Monday morning, then came back in the afternoon to down the Mastodons.
The Chippewas are scheduled to play Ohio in the ninth/10th place match on Tuesday morning.
