NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Natalie Johnson shot a 3-over 75 and Bria Colosky posted a 5-over 77 Friday to lead the Central Michigan golf team in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Championships at Purgatory Golf Club.
The Chippewas shot a 317 team score and stand in 10th place in the 10-team event. They trail ninth-place Ball State by six shots.
The tournament continues with the second round on Saturday and concludes with the third round on Sunday.
Also for the Chippewas, Kristen Wolfe shot 81, Hannah Matthies carded an 84, and Holly Hines posted an 85.
