NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Yes, there is a long way to go for the Central Michigan women’s golf program.
But the Chippewas have a come a long way in the two years since the program was resurrected.
The Chippewas closed with a 320 team score on Sunday in the third and final round of the Mid-American Conference Championship at Purgatory Golf Club.
CMU finished 10th in the 10-team field with a 958 team score, improving by 81 shots over the 1,039 it posted in the 2015 league tournament.
“I was happy with how much improvement we made,” CMU coach Cheryl Stacy said.
