MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Micaela Kelly, a standout guard from Detroit, has transferred to Central Michigan and will join coach Sue Guevara's Chippewas women's basketball ateam this fall.

Kelly was a First-Team All-Stater as a senior in 2016, when she led Detroit Martin Luther King to the Class A state championship game. She scored 34 points in the Crusaders' 67-65 loss to Warren Cousino in the final.

Kelly comes to CMU from DePaul.

"I'm really happy that she is with us," said Guevara, who led the Chippewas to a 22-11 finish, the Mid-American Conference West title, a berth in the league tournament title game, and a WNIT berth last season.
