SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Central Michigan women’s basketball team completed a perfect 2-0 performance in the Cal Poly Tournament with a 77-55 victory over North Dakota State on Saturday.
Tinara Moore, Reyna Frost and Presley Hudson each recorded a double-double and Hudson tied the CMU single-game assist record with 12 as the Chippewas won their third straight game and improved to 5-2.
CMU returns to McGuirk Arena on Thursday for a nonleague matchup with Loyola Chicago (noon).
“The goal when we came out here was to try and be better than we were,” said CMU coach Sue Guevara, who led the Chippewas to a 71-62 win over Utah Valley on Friday.
