MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Presley Hudson was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for women’s basketball.

Hudson, a sophomore guard from Wayland, scored a career-high 36 points in leading the Chippewas to a 91-78 victory over Kent State in CMU’s MAC opener on Saturday. Hudson, last year’s MAC Freshman of the Year, made a career-high eight 3-pointers (in 11 attempts) in the game.

Hudson’s 36 points tie her for third all-time in a game in program history, and her eight 3-pointers are the second most by a Chippewa in a single game.
