MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Tinara Moore was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Moore, a 6-foot-3 sophomore forward, recorded double-doubles in both of CMU’s games last week, a 67-61 loss at Buffalo, and a 97-77 victory at Akron.
Moore had 35 points and 20 rebounds – both career-highs – in the victory over Akron on Saturday. She knocked down all 16 of her field goal attempts, becoming just the second player in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history to finish a perfect performance in so many attempts.
