MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – It was a lesson day for all involved in the Central Michigan women’s basketball program.
Cassie Breen hit eight 3-pointers en route to 30 points Monday as the Chippewas surged passed Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, 78-65, at McGuirk Arena.
The win snapped a four-game losing streak and lifted CMU to 5-4.
“I know why coach’s hair is so grey,” CMU associate head coach Heather Oesterle joked in regard to head coach Sue Guevara, who missed the game to attend an out-of-state funeral.
