MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – A 10-day break to refresh, assess and recharge.
Now it’s back at it for the Central Michigan women’s basketball team.
The Chippewas (7-3) play host to Illinois (5-6) on Monday in a nonconference game at McGuirk Arena. CMU’s last game, a thrilling 73-71 overtime home win over Saint Joseph’s, was 10 days ago.
The Saint Joseph’s game capped a stretch during which CMU played four games in nine days.
“The time that we had off was time off we needed,” said CMU coach Sue Guevara, who has led her team to wins in six of its last seven games.
