MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The Central Michigan women’s basketball team saw its season come to an end Thursday in falling to Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis, 63-55, in the opening round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament at McGuirk Arena.
The Chippewas conclude the season with a 22-11 record to go along with a Mid-American Conference West Division title.
Coming off a painful overtime loss to Buffalo in the MAC Tournament championship game last week, CMU didn’t have the same intensity level.
“It was just a very disappointing loss tonight,” CMU coach Sue Guevara said.
