PHILLIDELPHIA — The Central Michigan Women’s basketball team scored just five points in the fourth quarter Tuesday, as it fell to Saint Joseph’s, 76-66, in the Hawk Classic championship game.
The Chippewas (6-5), who defeated Rider, 76-58, in the opening round on Monday, shot just 34.8 percent from the field including a 23.1 percent clip from 3-point range.
It was the final non-conference game for CMU, which saw its win streak end at two games. The Chippewas play host to Kent State (3-7) on Saturday (1 p.m.) in their Mid-American Conference opener.
