AKRON, Ohio. — It really doesn’t matter what team they face next. The reality is that the Central Michigan women’s basketball team needs to improve heading into Saturday’s Mid-American Conference game at Akron (2 p.m.)
Coming off Wednesday’s 67-61 loss to the league’s No. 1 scoring defense in Buffalo, the Chippewas will face a much more offensive-minded Akron team.
The Zips are tied for second in the MAC in scoring offense, averaging 73.7 points per game. The Chippewas are fourth, averaging 73.3. Both teams are 7-6 overall, 1-1 MAC.
