CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Central Michigan women’s basketball team doesn’t need any more motivation.
A Mid-American Conference championship and an NCAA Tournament berth are more than enough.
Still, every little bit helps. And revenge adds a little fuel to the fire.
The Chippewas (22-9) will play Buffalo (19-13) Saturday at 1 p.m. in the league tournament final at Quicken Loans Arena.
CMU, which is seeded second, is seeking its first league tourney championship and first trip to the Big Dance since 2013. It’s the first time the eighth-seeded Bulls will play in the final.
