W. Basketball. CMU Women Back at it in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – The Central Michigan women’s basketball team will play its final two non-conference games this week when it partakes in the 23rd annual Hawk Classic, hosted by St. Joseph’s.

The Chippewas (5-4) open the two-day tournament on Monday at 3 p.m. against Rider (3-6). St. Joseph’s (4-6) plays Maryland-Baltimore County (8-3) in the tournament opener at 1 p.m.

The consolation game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the title game follows.

CMU plays host to Kent State (3-7) on Saturday (1 p.m.) at McGuirk Arena in the Mid-American Conference opener for both schools.
