CLEVELAND, Ohio – Stephanie Reid banked home a right-handed runner as time expired Saturday as Buffalo defeated Central Michigan, 73-71, in overtime in the Mid-American Conference women’s basketball championship game at Quicken Loans Arena.
Tinara Moore scored 18 points, Da’Jourie Turner had 15, and Cassie Breen and Presley Hudson added 10 each for the Chippewas (22-10), who will now wait to see if they get a bid to the Women’s NIT.
CMU was vying for its first MAC Tournament title since 2013.
