Volleyball suffers first loss of 2017

After only winning the third set, the Central Michigan volleyball team dropped its first match of the season Friday afternoon against Penn in the George Mason Invitational.

Penn (1-1) took the first two sets by a score of 25-16 and 25-21, respectively. CMU (3-1) responded by taking the third set 25-19. The Quakers then finished off the Chippewas in the fourth set of the evening winning 25-17.

Central Michigan’s Jordan Bueter led the team with 14 kills while Grace Butler led the team with 37 assists.

The Chippewas will play their final two games of the George Mason Invitational tomorrow.
