Three pitches into Sunday afternoon’s action and Central Michigan could already be credited with a victory.
Unfortunately for the Chippewas, they were unable to continue the positive feelings following the three-pitch conclusion of Saturday’s suspended game versus Kent State which ended as a 13-10 win for the hosts at Theunissen Stadium.
Central Michigan dropped the regularly scheduled series finale by a count of 5-2, giving the Golden Flashes a triumph in two of three games over the weekend. Kent State won the opener, played at Davenport University, via a 17-5 throttling.
Three Chippewas errors led to three unearned runs scored by KSU in telling the story for how the series was lost.
