MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan volleyball coach Mike Gawlik announced on Friday the addition of two signees to the Chippewas’ Class of 2017.
Kalina Smith, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter/setter from Powell, Wyo., and Hannah Warners, a 5-8 libero/defensive specialist from Grand Rapids, will join the program for the 2017 season.
Smith and Warners will join three players – Grace Butler of Hawthorn Woods, Ill., Lyza Myers of Napoleon, and Miani Boldon of Homewood, Ill. – who signed in November.
Waters helped lead Grand Rapids Christian to a Class A state semifinal appearance in 2015, and earned the team Most Valuable Player Award in 2016, along with All-Ottawa-Kent Conference Gold Division honors.
